At Cairnton Aberdeen Angus, we have chosen the very best of Scottish and North American bloodlines to ensure all the attributes that have made Aberdeen Angus the household name it is.

Many of our cows in the herd are daughters or grand daughters of G.V. Jag, a famous Canadian bull with style and character, who is now sadly missed.

Fordafourie Paragon and Cardona Pure Punch, going back to Patricia of Greenyards, have had an influence on the herd.  In the meantime, Fordafourie Kiwi, with his interesting New Zealand genetics, and Blelark Evergreat (purchased for £8925) being a Stockman 365 grandson and out of that great Evora family, are our main stock bulls.  Other Evora bred cattle include Cairnton Everready, Cairnton Excaliber, Cairnton Excocet, indeed, Cairnton Evora X37 was champion calf at the first Black Beauty Bonanza in 2000.

Because we are in the unique situation of actively looking for good steers for the beef side of the business, only the best of the best are retained as bulls.
